Maybe an assumption on my part, but I always found the racing skills a lot higher with the older drivers. Being 39yrs old, I have to buy my own kit, repair it and get up for work on a monday. I could race an entire season with like minded people and not even have to take rubber off the side pods, never mind fix damage.
Not quite the same running with the lightweights, who if they couldn't carry out a clean overtake using skill and guile, would much rather run you off the track!
