I have to say I agree with you - big bike engines should be in bikes, or at a stretch small kit cars. Karts, never.

However as to a train engine - I did always wonder what say an 8 litre Perkins straight 6 lorry deisel would be like in something like a Lotus 7 type car - obviously it wouldnt need a 9 speed box - 2 would probably suffice on the gears front... nah its a perverse idea on reflection!
