Now you have accepted the point..... you CANNOT have 'too much grip' we can move on.....

You should remember, Dave and I went through the experience of the arrival of grippy tyres. The arrioval of Blue Streaks was ..... surprising, and the arrival of Bridgestones a complkete revelation. I watched (at a distance) the use of the simply MIND-BLOWING qualifying tyres, too.

No racer would turn down an offer of such tyres IF they could be made to last. The increased 'drag' in a straight-line is MICROSCOPIC compared to the increased grip in the corners.

There may be a 'tipping-point' (as you put it) in the future but that point has yet to arrive......
