Kart stickers work in the same way painted helmets do.
It can raise confidence, which in turn improves race craft and performance of the driver.
It also helps identify you on track and can help (-and also hinder) you when overtaking.
Iv had people make my overtaking easy as they noticed it was my front bumper coming up the inside and didn't put up a fight when iv overtook. On the flip side if your not getting on with someone it can be a big disadvantage .
