I am new to karting but I work in the print industry and I know what is required to remove 'build up' ultrasonically from 'nozzle' jets.
What we do is submerge the components is an ultrasonic bath comprised of an orange (citric acid) based cleaner (Orange-sol?). The nozzles look good as new and are as clean as a whistle.
I think i'll try this on one of our carbs!
