When we first started in cadets I had an Audi A4 saloon and used to transport the kart on top with roof bars and all the tools in the boot. We then bought a touring caravan with awning. This gave us all we needed, without any ongoing costs i.e. tax, insurance, MOT. We had somewhere to sleep, eat and rest during the day, the awning also gives you somewhere to work on the kart under cover. We now race Minimax and when needed we can fit the kart through the door on its end and stand it up inside the caravan.
