QOT - I understand what you're saying about sitting up and then presenting the same frontal area when leaning forward, but what you forget, and what is far more important, is the 'dead space' between the nassau panel and the driver creating huge vortices which WILL slow a kart on the straight. By ducking the head forward, but keeping the body mainly in the seat, it should be possible to create a more streamlined shape to kart and machine and maybe gain a fraction or two. I'm no aerodynamic expect by the way, but have looked into it a bit. Also, this becomes even more important in 4/ endurance racing using big foot panels.......
