have you not tried the conventional routes, ie contacting companies and/or seeing if there are local companies in the area, contact your local newspaper, tell them who you are/what you are doing and that you are skint and need help to get racing for the rest of the season....they will run a story...good free publicity for you...
come up with a marketing proposal for prospective sponsors, tell them what you can give them and what they will get in return....be sensible, dont ask for too much, but dont leave yourself out of pocket!!!
ive got an example marketing proposal that i COULD send you as a template which i found very successful a few years back....which you could use to give you ideas for your own
