I bought an engine from ebay with little knowledge of it. Had it looked over by a sealer without taking the seal off(looking down exhaust port and spark plug hole), was told it should be fine(at least wouldnt sieze). After a few sessions I decided that id get it rebuilt as I didnt want it blowing up as I didnt know the history. After the rebuild it was a lot smoother and took about half a second off my lap times instantly.
