Going in an awning is a short cut, granted. But we did it the hard way, from an 8 year old novice to three times National Champion all by ourselves. But the first 6 months were the best by far, when we could go training looking for proper chunks of time in the driving and feel a real sense of achievement when we found it, rather than fiddling about with set-up for a few hundreths or tenths at best and before we realised that beyond a certain level more depends on whether the parents face and cheque book fits, rather than the kids driving.
As a matter of interest though, tutor licences even for Non-MSA type racing in France are more than £16.
