The DD option is by far the best option for performance, no one has won a significant meeting on a clutched or TaG kart. All the top S1 drivers use DD. Why? because the TaG just can't compete at that level. To remove the DD option is rediculous based on Health and Safety alone. People have been racing these for years and accidents do happen but no more so than in a clutched varient. There has been significant sales of DD engines over the years, many still being used at the highest level. The cost implications for everyone to convert is crazy for what is essentially a lesser experience for drivers. I for one would rather convert my son to Rotax than purchase a clutch conversion or TaG TKM.
