I reckon it's all down to the MSA wanting to raise money by being able to fine parental wrongdoers without losing the income from having the kids leave the sport during a ban. I really don't see the problem with kids having to suffer the consequences of their parents actions - christ, if they can't behave when they know their kids will be punished for it, what will they get up to when they know it won't hit their kids? Far better to have such people out of the sport, so far as I'm concerned!
