The only way we're gonna do that QOT is to promote the manufacturing industry - something which has been in decline over the past 30 years. We simply don't have the work ethic in this country to compete.

The up and coming countries i.e. China, India, Brazil will work twice as hard for a tenth of the wages and due to this we will never have a positive balance of payments UNTIL they develop and start demanding higher wages at our level.
