A very bright bloke I've come across refers to Ackermann as "dynamic toe", because you're effectively increasing the toe-out as you turn the steering wheel. It's a really good description for any driver that is used to changing the turn-in characteristics by changing how much toe-out they have.
Do you want the latest on the great "whether the wheels stop turning when braking" debate? A weird one for you. Once I got better at braking, I would often feel the rear end vibration you were talking about just before turn-in. Now got a 50 mm axle in the same kart, and guess what! Doesn't do it anymore. I know what I'm guessing it was, and I'm sure I could brake better with than without.
