I'm after some honest, genuine and free advice !!

I am starting my son karting imminently and would love some feedback and general pointers

Cadet - 2 stroke or 4 stroke ??
Chassis ?
What should I be spending engine/chassis wise ?
What should I look out for and not touch with a bargepole ?
What is all this MSA vs NonMSA shennanigans ?

Local track will be Rye but I would like to travel with him.

I can see some previous heated threads and please I don't want to start a "for and against" thread just some views so I can make a informed decision.
