Just interest really. How do the kart companies design their chassis.

I've worked freelance for a number of car companies in chassis design and we use multi million pound computers and software to design with to ensure that the product is right with respect to vehicle dynamics, torsional roll etc. Even to the point where these tools are now so good, we can cut out some prototype builds.

Clearly the kart companies don't have that sort of funding except maybe Tony Kart.

Is it just suck it and see plus stop watch (plus experience of course)
