Hooton Park run an Indiekart Championship, also known as NON MSA. They have a big grid of TKMs (over 20 most meetings) and decent size Rotax max. You basically turn up with your kart and you race, no license or medicals required. Probably the cheapest way to race a kart and now with BIGGER grids than MSA racing.
you sound abit "heavy" to race TKM so i think Rotax max would suit you better, next Indiekart race is on 20th January, pop down and have a look, ask questions and go from there. DONT rush out and buy any old kart.
