Ian,

I totally agree with you, I have seen the "Hans" Kart brace in action and to me it looks like it will not make the slightest bit of difference, in fact a "S1" dad from whom I bought the kart stated it was the biggest single waste of money he has ever spent (well probably apart from the money trying to get the last 0.00000001sec out of his engine that is !!)

As I said I will probably go with the simple "foam" brace.

What I was trying to get across is that it is purely a CHOICE scenario as the MSA will not mandatory state you must wear one because it has not been proven it does not cause additional damage in the event of a biggie !
