Number 17 but we won't be racing until the April meeting. We should be at clay this Saturday for a practice though. Don't get me wrong - I don't think we are at the stage where the type of wheels we use are going to make a measurable difference yet but I was thinking about buying another set of wheels so that we have a set for racing and a practice set. How often do cadet slicks need to be changed? His slicks are very old now (put on 30th June last year and must have 1500 laps on them now) and I don't know how much of a gain can be had by changing them. I seem to spend a fair bit of time removing pickup - does the fact that cadets pick up rubber mean their own rubber lasts longer or should I be replacing them regardless of wear due to the amount of heat cycles?
