Costs at club meetings need not be 'huge' at all. Remember some of these drivers who are spending large budgets are chasing FIA recognised European and World championships, Karting is one of the few sports to have that honour, and it is probably much cheaper than seeking FIA recognised world championship honours in other branches of motorsport, everything is relative. The U18 championship offered world recognition for not so much money, and has been won every time by British drivers, what a record, and where did they start karting?
A senior driver in TKM Clubman or Cadet can race at Shenington for about Ł120 - Ł150 per weekend. see the last MSA Magazine.
