A great pity to loose such a convenient engine running in facility. We started racing there in Comer cadets with my son in 1995 in the days of the London Kart Club. In those days you had nearly the whole circuit covered in cars with the odd van (in those days it seemed normal to run out of the back of a car boot). Days when the local pikeys had away the generator for the start finish line during lunch break. Practice days when the locals found it fun to lob stones at passing karts closely followed by the Bill who seemed to understand the technique in removing the little darlings from the circuit. Clearing up the horse sh*t & broken bottles off the track prior to practice.
Those were the days. Jim & Tilbury will be sorely missed.
