That was one of my points.

Why was no one watching the novices at the back of the field?

My lad was never going to win and we do it as "fun" but I don't see it as fun when his life is at risk because someone cannot look at what he is meant to be watching.

Just before anyone says don't enter if you don't like the risk, its something he loves doing but why can't we make it as safe as possible?

To those who have commented that maybe I should do it rather than talk about it - I have marshalled at international level and I do know what I am talking about.
