I didn't blame the novice in question as he was maybe quite inexperienced, but brought it to the attention of the CoC, so that he could have a word with him afterwords and perhaps point him in the right direction for the future.

It made no difference to my son and I as - A. He was hurt and B. His kart was out of action.

I never once stated that the marshals/CoC's should see everything. I think that, on a whole, they do a thankless task and generally speaking wouldn't do their job again for all the tea in china.
