Agree with Buzzinrussell. But if you have the spare cash, also go for the short chain. Reason is to use what is a great tuning tool...for example the Rotax engine weighs 23KG fully laden. having the ability to move it backwards and forwards is a big plus. If you need to shift the weight percentages, why not use the engine. Obviously the corner weights will change but if you want more weight on the rear right then why not move the engine there.

I think it's an under used tool that only costs about £20 to have.
