Nothing wrong with the website just some of the information given can be misleading. If your information came from a Rotax manual that was probably a reasonable assumption to accept as correct, however having had to post out a quantity of Max motors they have all come under the 12 to 15 kg threshold for shipment inc packaging.
The entire package c/w battery, battery carrier, exhaust loom ect does come close to 23kg but moving the motor forwards and backwards will not alter the weight distribution by very much at all when we are able to move the engine mass a total of approximately 50 mm.
