Point taken, but another factor that helps in the wet is raising the driver so why not go the whole hog and put 3 engine spacers between the motor and mount.
A Rainmaster insert is about 15 mm thick so that would raise 30kg of kid plus 15kg of motor by 15 mm.
Have a think about this one. You Pack the seat or even move the seat itself forwards, backwards or up or down, the weight carried by the seat is still being fed into the chassis via the exact same points negating some of the effect desired. Surely a more efficient method would be to have moveable seat supports? The only problem there is I am sure that the construction regs insist on fixed mounts. Maybe a case for fixed alternate mounts?
Going back to the original theory of moving the motor forwards you are limited by the clearance of the exhaust system on the brake disk with the need to keep the exit angle from the motor as straight as possible.
Fun this forum stuff eh? Sometimes more problems than solutions!
