Thanks guys. I'd come to a similar conclusion i.e. look at the shape of the curve, not the values on it. If you do the plot based on a complete lap it looks very erratic, but if you zoom in on a flat out straight it comes out with a nice curve showing the speed, revs and power building up and the longitudinal acceleration dropping off as the drag increases
