Just had a look at the entry forms for the Iame O plate and one thing which stood out was the control fuel quantity. Don't get me wrong here - I understand the need for control fuel at a prestigious championship event such as an O plate, but why is the fuel being supplied in 25 litre containers at a cost of £110 with each competitor having to purchase fuel in multiples of 25 litres? We can do 100 laps of Clay on approx 4 litres. The Iame is very fuel efficient so why would each competitor need 25 litres for a 2 day event? Or is this a standard amount to buy for a championship round? Why not supply in cadet friendly amounts? Even F1 is trying to reduce costs these days.
