I don't think the basic costs of 6 rounds of super one for cadet racing are drastically different to doing a 10 round club championship, having done a basic costing exercise. The main difference seems to be team costs which got me thinking that in order to get my lad to a standard where he would be good enough to compete at super one, I have 2 choices. Either I try to do it myself or I get him in with a team for some tuition. It's a no brainer and I now hypothesise that the reason most club drivers are not as good as super one drivers is because most parents are nowhere near as prepared as a team. I don't think I spend any more than any other club dad/lad team.
