Alan, you could try Steve Chapman's (Protrain) junior tyro class that he runs at Rissington, it's not much different in lap times to Cadet. He would need to be 11, and the ARKS test is not required. Also you will find top speeds of classes tend to be exaggerated. You can hire the tyro kart for the weekend.
