With a zip lightning they are used in the wet to give to more rear end, it's the only time you'll seen the big cadet teams use them if at all. IMO it depends on you driver if you lad drives a hard front end he may find this bumper more beneficial.
Others use them as they are a kilo lighter than a standard metal bumper.
