While we are at it, let's remove all safety features from cars and go back to the 70s. Of course the cars won't be as safe - so when you have a big accident you'll probably die. But the lack of safety features mean you will drive more carefully. Is that the logic? If so, I don't agree. and I suspect nor would anyone who deals in road safety. And motor racing safety as well I would guess. You are assuming that all karting accidents are caused by bad or aggressive driving. That's not true - some are just that - accidents ... And when kids and adults go hurtling off a track at 60mph I'd prefer them to have a bit of plastic around them.
