Your job as a parent or guardian is to EDUCATE your children...... not to let the little b*gg*rs brow-beat YOU... particularly where SAFETY is involved.

I raced for my ENTIRE 'career' (until long circuit) without Tupperware add-ons and I seem noticed that I am still alive. I was properly taught and encouraged and I passed that onto my children.

We are NOT there to be their friends: we are their GUARDIANS and teachers.... which means, teaching and guiding them into what they need to know to remain SAFE! Any man who suggests that a child's idea of 'fashion' should be allowed to dictate safety policy is a ...... I'll leave that last word to others!
