Two things ...

1 Is qualifying at Super One going to be 5 mins long at all rounds? It seems to have been that way at MSA Round one but I have not seen an explanation for why the time has been reduced? I think it was 8-10 mins last year? Will it be 5 mins for Rotax as well?

There could be good reasons - stopping all the messing round in early laps could be one ... Nice to know the thinking behind it though.

Can't be a problem with track time. The timetables this year are hardly going to be under pressure with fewer classes.

2 Which brings me onto point two ... The Super One website is a bit of a shambles. It is still headlining articles about things that happened in November and January. Click on the drivers' page and you get an option to look at the 2013 driver lists. That is bad enough (the 2014 season has started) but those 2013 lists are actually from 2012!
If I want to tell a sponsor what my driver is doing I am embarrassed to send them to the S1 website to be honest as it is so out of date and frankly all over the shop.
When you look at the offerings from Euromax, BNL etc it puts it to shame.
I know it is only window dressing to a point but that website could be a really useful hub for info (like the point I mention above). Right now it simply isn't.
There are plenty of good web designers involved in karting. Some driver websites are brilliant.
Just doesn't look v professional at the moment which is a shame. We love racing racing in S1 - others like to knock it - but not sure it helps itself when the website, which after all is the main window into the whole series for most people, looks dated.

Anyway - would like to hear more about the qualifying situation. It does change the dynamic of the qualifying sessions if they are that much shorter. It is so important to do well in S1 qualy so 5 mins does seem a touch on the short side for a session that often defines the meeting.
