I did that with one of my drivers on a warm but not hot day, nothing else at all was changed except rear rims, yet when he came in,first thing he said was " What did you do? I had no rear grip, the back end was all over the place!"
Personally, I think it is more to do with the 3 spoke wheel flex rather than heat dispersion?
