When the MSA floated the "new" definitions of track limits, all he'll was let loose on car forums and in car magazines. One well known club racer (and ex-karter) went as far as to predict the death of club racing due to over-enforcement. Others claimed that half the fun of racing was the max-attack style over the kerbs, that if they weren't allowed to do it they would give up racing as there would be no enjoyment for them.
Total rot of course, but an indication of the level to which the sport has descended. This isn't going to go away just by enforcing local rules, it's going to take a massive change in attitude at all levels.
