Independent testing by someone like NCAP would carry more credence than a medic and I wouldn't expect the MSA to accept Leatt's 'in house' testing as conclusive, however extensive they said it was.

Oddly enough, the Leatt could be fatal in some circumstances, so you have to make sure the helmet is always fastened correctly and the helmet is a correct fit.

I know it carries a CE mark but that's a bit like self certification when you're sick and I'd much rather see a British kite mark on it from the British Standards Institute (BSI) which is recognised by over 90% of people as a quality product and is also applied to crash helmets.
