There appears to be no difference between X30 and Rotax cost wise, and some clubs have poor grids. I think as more engines are bought the 'mega engine' syndrome will appear as in other classes.
For Rotax :you don't have to spend mega money on engines to do well at club level.
The Mojos don't last as well as the vega's used to, so this is an expense.
TKM is allegedly cheaper.
You need to race in a class where you have good grids locally or you will pay more to travel. Rotax seems to have reasonable grids most places.
We have had great fun racing Rotax, and still do.
