I have designed this little device that fits the front nosecone and has a series of 10 LEDs that light up in sequence each time there is contact. It is resettable but only from a unique transmitter that can be held by an official once the LEDs have been counted.

Get a full house and it's an automatic DQ!

It has a 'tell tale' flashing led to show it's working so that it can be seen to be working before leaving the dummy grid.

You could appoint a 1 second or more penalty for each light that is illuminated when you come into the pits.

It also eliminates the 'brake test' scenario as you don't have to return to the pits to fix it.

A lot lot cheaper than the floppy drippy bumper, just over Ł10.00
