Even when you solder the juction of the braid and the terminal, they still break.

It still breaks if you use silicon as well as soldering.

There is a way of modifying the terminal but it's whether they would class it as a non compliant modification if they saw it.

Probably not a problem in IKR but in non IKR i could see petty exclusions in things like S1 or clubbies.
