Just a small point to add to the info given.

If you use the outer holes, make sure you still have sufficient threads left on the track rod end to be safe.

It may be that if the rods are already on the short side, by increasing their length you end up with the possibility of losing your steering because they come loose.

Make sure the threaded ends are equal and check the number of threads that go into the rods.
