A lot will depend on where you plan to race. If it is just one or two local tracks then a trailer might be the best/cheapest solution.Size would depend on what you need to carry e.g awning; generator; air compressor.
If you plan to travel further afield then maybe the speed and lane restrictions could make a van a better option. You should be OK with a mid roof height if you take off the nose cone. A long wheel-base would give the option of storing flat rather than upright.
