Not true, the system is working beautifully and saving drivers hundreds of pounds over a season. It also means they're all in the same boat with tyre wear, regardless of budget. Furthermore, my recent experience tells me there is very little scope to significantly reduce the cost of new tyres unless you have serious buying power, though we have managed to save drivers a bit here too.

I generally agree with your other points but naturally would want to set this record straight.
