Yep, that's truly a mess of vested interests with various levels of participation at all levels leading to no price control. If only we had an umbrella body looking after our interests and looking at the bigger picture eh? :D We want to go racing in big grids, with good to drive karts, and at reasonable cost and time don't we all? We therefore don't want small grids, engines that bog, and costs ever increasing. I stopped Snr Max for 4 years, and when I came back tyres had gone up 35% a set, the chassis had gone up Ł1000, the engine rebuild costs had more than doubled - killing the golden goose I'd call it (some of course due to exchange rate with euro).

The horse has bolted and any attempt to fix things will be painful with regards to existing equipment, so does someone at the MSA grasp the nettle or does it just lumber on with ever increasing fragmentation? Rotax caused the last "boom" by having TAG, and it scuppered the economical TKM class, but overall it brought many into the sport, but then commercial interests took over and we had options of FB, X30, Biland, TKM 2s/4s, etc, etc. For example the Scottish Championship last year had a ridiculous number of classes with sometimes only 4 entrants.

Inaction is probably worse than any decisive action from the MSA in my humble opinion.
