After discussing "the Accident" with my lad today He tells me the following

No 48 and 24 had a coming together causing 24 to spin.

As 24 was spinning he clipped 48 again going airborne and throwing 48 partially out his kart.

His kart (48) kept running, dragging driver 48 behind for a short distance.
