Ian, if you watch the second video, the kart veers off to the left when he's nowhere near the other kart.

When he gets out of the kart he looks down at the left hand wheel and gesticulate sat it then goes off to celebrate anyway, knowing that he hadn't been a numpty.

Things do break when the stress is relieved. I had a friend with an MGB gt and the steering arm snapped off just a few seconds after he stopped in front of me.

The lads rose joint could have snapped or the bolt may have lost its nut and jumped out as he's slowing.

We had a chassis snap on the bottom steering bearing at the weekend and he didn't have any control.
