If it's come loose three times then it's likely that the taper on the crank and backplate have been damaged.

I use a fine valve grinding paste to lap the plate back to a good fit.

Use the same method as lapping in a cylinder head valve by lifting and turning to a new position.

You should end up with a matt finish across the full contact area of the plate and crank.

Check that the backplate hasn't cracked between the taper and the smaller adjacent holes.

You must use a torque wrench to fully tighten the nut correctly unless you're blessed with a 'torque' hand.
