I couldn't agree more, Lee (although not with the mandatory sprocket, PGB!).

Unfortunately, can anybody see the manufacturers agreeing to sell less tyres at lower prices?

Visiting championships are part of the problem also; they take drivers away from clubs (some of which can barely afford to lose them) and take them on tour but where will the tour visit once the smaller clubs have gone the way of the dodo? When that inevitably happens, will those drivers take the perceived step down in competitiveness to IKR or just travel further to visit one of the big five or six clubs that will survive regardless?
