Wouldn't have thought you'd even get checked because the motor would be running with the bearings out of alignment & probably no end float so if you did make the finish without it blowing up you'd be last so wouldn't get checked any how
But don't think there's anything in any regs to say you can't run with different batch crank cases, it's just bad. Engineering practice, because there line bored through & deck heights are machined to the fiche during the production process
