Shaun, could they not approve them just for lap timing and still ban the use of telemetry? Surely the telemetry is dependent on the timing system being able to read it and Alpha timing have told me that they use the old data stream that the X2 provides and ignore the new. If the clubs don't provide the capability then it's as good as not there.
